CARING IS COOL!

Hey, I’m Ashoke, and I’m the creator of Dolphin Dude. Believe it or not, the project wasn't born out of a love for the Miami Dolphins, but rather from a deep frustration with traditional environmental advocacy.

My background is in the trenches of this work: I earned a degree in Environmental Studies from the University of Waterloo, worked as an environmental consultant, and eventually attended law school at Dalhousie University to practice as a maritime and law-of-the-sea lawyer. Yet throughout my career, I've watched critical conversations about ocean advocacy be met with hostility, apathy, or sheer communication breakdowns.

That’s when I realized that an idea is only as good as your ability to communicate it—so I started telling stories instead.

On the surface, Dolphin Dude is a story about saving our seas.

But dive a little deeper, and it’s all about showing the world that caring is cool.

    Through educational resources, classroom toolkits, workshops, and interactive content, Dolphin Dude transforms curiosity into opportunities for ocean education, advocacy, and personal growth.

    Dolphin Dude is designed to inspire participation, not just viewership. Through community events, partnerships, social campaigns, and conservation initiatives, we aim to build a movement proving that caring is cool.

Ann Le Cam is a senior animation and visual effects executive with leadership experience spanning companies such as Wētā FX and Walt Disney Animation Studios. She most recently served as Global Head of Talent and Animation Production at Wētā FX, where she oversaw talent strategy and supported the studio’s international expansion. Prior to that, she was Senior Vice President of Studio Planning and Talent at Disney Animation, helping guide organizational strategy and innovation during a major period of digital transformation. She is also an Executive Fellow at Harvard Business School and has served on the advisory board of Women in Animation

Ryan Lastimosa is an art director, game developer, and visual artist known for his work across the video game and film industries.

Ryan Lastimosa is an art director, game developer, and visual artist known for his work across the video game and film industries. He has worked with studios including Respawn Entertainment and Infinity Ward, contributing to franchises such as Titanfall, Apex Legends, and Call of Duty. Before transitioning into games, he also worked in film visual effects on projects including I, Robot, The Day After Tomorrow, and Batman Begins. He is recognized for his work in visual storytelling, world-building, and art direction within action and sci-fi entertainment.
