OUR MISSION IN ACTION
With Dolphin Dude, we aim to create more than just an animated series — we want to build a go-to resource for ocean education that helps young people better understand and connect with the world beneath the waves. Through fun, adventure-driven storytelling, we introduce audiences to real-world marine issues like plastic pollution, climate change, biodiversity loss, and overfishing in a way that is hopeful, engaging, and accessible. But beyond ocean literacy, we also want to help kids develop the character traits and emotional intelligence needed to become compassionate advocates and leaders in their own communities by exploring themes like courage, empathy, resilience, teamwork, curiosity, and standing up for what’s right.
Today, there’s a growing disconnect between people, nature, and even one another. Environmental issues can often feel overwhelming, isolating, or fragmented, leaving many young people unsure of how they fit into the conversation. Dolphin Dude aims to change that by building a fun, welcoming community rooted in connection, compassion, and collective action. Through storytelling, education, and shared experiences, we want to bring people together and remind the next generation that caring is cool — and that no one has to make waves alone.
We believe ocean stories should do more than simply use the sea as a backdrop, they should reflect our deep interconnectedness with the living world. Dolphin Dude takes an ecocentric approach to storytelling by exploring the ocean not as a resource to conquer, but as a community to respect and protect. By blending traditional Indigenous knowledge, modern pop culture, and emerging ideas like ocean rights, we hope to create stories that are entertaining, thoughtful, and capable of inspiring a new relationship between people and the planet.
The ocean faces enormous challenges, but there are also incredible people working every day to protect and restore it. Dolphin Dude wants to shine a light on the innovators, scientists, Indigenous communities, advocates, and young changemakers developing real-world solutions for our seas. By highlighting stories of action alongside the challenges, we hope to inspire optimism, curiosity, and the belief that positive change is possible when people come together.
At the heart of Dolphin Dude is a desire to create real, measurable impact. We want our stories to do more than entertain, we want them to inspire audiences to care, learn, and take action for our oceans and communities. By connecting viewers with organizations, educators, scientists, advocates, and grassroots changemakers already doing important work on the ground, we hope to help amplify existing efforts and turn storytelling into a force for positive change.
